Ebb tide and high tide in an eternal cycle, boundless distances, green dykes and beaches stretching for kilometres, dunes and salt meadows, invaluable flora and fauna, plus the clean air low in allergens – that is the fascinating world of the mudflats, an area totalling 7500 km2.
The unique character of the mudflats has led to their being set aside as a national park.

More Than Just a Sea
The establishment of the national park has made it even easier for North Sea guests to experience nature intensely.
